Crafted from the most beautiful of all timbers, rosewood, comes this beautiful William IV teapoy.
Hailing from circa 1830, this glorious piece has stood the test of time and is as sturdy as the day it was made. The teapoy is set on a pedestal quad form base, and casts an elegant figure. The teapoy opens to reveal 6 partitions which would have been used as a tea chest or tantalus for storing decanters. The inner is all in very good restored condition.
The top of the teapoy is in quintessential sarcophagus style, and the lock fittings are finished in durable brass.
Nowadays, the teapoy could be used for storing watches, jewellery, or simply as a beautiful centrepiece in a dining room.
