19th century oak stationery box with calendar

This beautiful stationery box was crafted in England c.1890.

The front hinged doors and lower drawer feature a lovely carved reeded pattern. The drawer handle is original brass.

The stationery box doors open up to reveal spaces for paperwork and letters, inkwells, and quill (or modern day pens)! The upper section features a pop up calendar which can be folded up or down, and adjusted accordingly with brass winders.
