Explore these fantastic new works celebrating some of Bendigo’s most famous historical landmarks.
Painted in typical Victor Rubin style using bold acrylics, this exhibition features buildings such as Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Old Post Office, The Town Hall, The Shamrock, and more.
Victor Rubin was born in 1950 in Sydney. Rubin has been a finalist in the Archibald Prize, the Sir John Sulman Prize three times, the Blake Prize and Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. He is represented in the Australian National Gallery, National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery NSW, Australian National Gallery, Canberra, Queensland Art Gallery, Darwin Art Gallery & Museum, Northern Territory and many regional galleries.
Victor Rubin has been inspired by Western traditions of representation for over five decades with metaphysical work on the self and the environment. Rubin has been credited with over fifty solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions world wide.
Landmark Buildings in Bendigo will run at Valentine’s Antique Gallery until April 30, 2025.
