This wonderfully intricate Royal Worcester kerosene lamp is of classical torchere form and features an etched cranberry glass shade.
Crafted in 1893, the lamp is of shape 1354. The porcelain baluster stem is raised on a triangular base with hoof feet, and features various grotesque masks, foliage, and other classical motifs. It is matt glazed in ivory with the moulded decoration in terracotta and brown, with gilt details throughout. The printed factory marks are underneath.
The brass burner is made by Hinks and Son. The piece is 88cm in height. One hoofed foot chip has been repaired but otherwise in very good condition.
