This beautiful and collectable apprentice piece is an early example of stunning miniature craftmanship.
Crafted from rich mahogany in England c.1820, this piece looks and acts just like a life size piece would! It has a catch that when pulled, allows the user to tilt the table to the side. These pieces were often used by travelling salesmen to show prospective customers a smaller replica of a product. In modern times, these miniatures have become collector’s items in themselves.
The top of the table features intricate marquetry inlays and adds a unique patterned touch to this unusual piece.
This miniature tilt top table can be posted Australia wide for approximately $25. Contact us if you would like to purchase.
